UGC stands for user-generated content, which is original content created by users and shared on social media. In contrast, PGC (professionally generated content) refers to content created by professionals or organizations.
With a ratio of ordinary users to professional creators at approximately 8:2, driving UGC is easier to boosting submissions.
Besides, As an entertainment platform, TikTok users generally prefer lighthearted UGC contents over PGC contents.
The first area I worked on was photo sliders, where I developed brainstorming prototypes to explore various possibilities of functions about this functions. Among the drafts I created, here are the three with the most valuable ideas.
This idea is not directly aimed at enhancing interaction, but it can increase the exposure of the photo slides feature, helping users develop a usage habit.
Popular comments will be displayed in a carousel after the content ends. Users can also quickly navigate to the comments to enhance engagement.
Creators can customize an emoji button with a prompt on the slide’s bottom bar, providing the audience with a simple and engaging way to interact.
