A data visualization app that fosters connectivity among remote employees.
Research have shown that around 53% workers feel a lack of connection and belonging with other colleagues. Initially, it might feel great to have so much flexibility and independence in a remote position, but over time, that level of isolation often leads to remote work loneliness.

This IOT app collects the data of the lights and visualizes the usage rate based on the geographical and chronological sequence. Users are able to see those in 'Light Map' and 'Light Track' pages.
In the setting process, Users are able to choose where the data came from based on location or contacts, which gives them the freedom to connect with certain people they want to connect with.
In order to better enhance the connection between users, but also not to make the app too complicated, we designed the 'status' feature to enable users to have some short and easy socialization with others.

Remote workers may feel disconnected from the company's culture, values, and mission as they are not physically present to experience or participate in cultural events and activities.

Remote workers are not physically present with their colleagues, which can lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection.
Inspired by the answers, we have sketched multiple drafts to explore the use of metaphor to develop ideas for the interfaces. Then we narrowed down to 2 ideas with the theme of capacity and light bulbs..

ARCLUX, comes from the words ‘Arc’ and ‘LUX’, which is the is the unit of illuminance.
I used circles and luminous effects as the main elements to create the LOGO, in order to illustrate the sense of brightness and simplicity.
In order to take inspiration for the visual styles, I have built a moodboard including photography, graphic design and web design.
I chose a series of orange colors to represent light. For the background and text color, I mainly used dark and gray to pop up the bright orange.
I chose Montserrat as my typography. As a humanist font, it takes balance in both simplicity and humanity, which matches the key attributes of this project.

Although we did not have time to develop the part of the physical product very further, we managed to sketch several potential concepts. We have also used VIZCOM, which is an AI generator to render and visualize one of our ideas.
